St John’s Garden is a Green Flag Park and a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation.
I am a member of the Friends group. We care for the garden alongside the dedicated team at Islington Parks Service, maintaining it as a peaceful oasis for visitors and supporting biodiversity through pollinator planting, habitat creation and biological monitoring.
As well as being responsible for the hose pipes (!), I am taking photos every month in 2026 of the myriad flowers in the Garden, and the birds and bees who enjoy the bounty on offer.
