The National Museum in Nuuk has a fascinating account of the history of the Inuit, the indigenous peoples, in Greenland.  The exhibits include the stuffed head of a Musk Ox that was hunted for its meat, an umiak (a "women's boat"), old photographs, wonderful bone and ivory carvings, and four Inuit mummies, 3 adults and a 6 month old baby, that were found in 1975 in north west Greenland in an icy tomb dated to AD 1475.  In essence the bodies were freeze-dried.
