In December 2023 we spent a week in Oman before sailing up the Arabian Gulf and visiting several Arab Emirates. We drove around this beautiful country in 4 wheel drives and were taken to brand new mosques, ancient citadels, souks, oases, green mountains and gorges, and slept out under the stars in the desert. I selected some of the pictures I took for a 'zine called "Beautiful Oman"
While we were driving around we also saw a lot of everyday life in Oman, with sprawling development, the domination of the car, camels being trained to race with robot jockeys, and smugglers setting off for Iran with boats full of domestic appliances. I selected a second set of images called "Real Oman".
